Farewell & Blessing: Saint Joseph’s House
Dear friends in Christ,
This Sunday, I invite you to join us for a special liturgy of thanksgiving and blessing as we bid farewell to Saint Joseph's House before its scheduled demolition this coming Monday, May 19th.
When: Sunday at 10:10 AM (concluding with ample time to find your seat for the 10:30 AM Mass)
Where: Gathering in front of Saint Joseph's House
This brief service will honor the countless ways Saint Joe's has served our parish community over the decades, from a center for hospitality ministries to a place of welcome for wedding and funeral receptions, from a home for children, youth, and adult Christian formation to a Christian counseling center, from a base for our university outreach ministries to a home most recently for Saint Andy's Food Pantry.
Together, we'll express our gratitude for this faithful servant of our mission, say our farewells, and ask God's blessing upon our parish's future endeavors.
Looking ahead, Bishop G. will join us later this summer to officiate a liturgy of dedication and blessing of the open land as we begin a season of discernment about how this space can best serve our mission to love and serve our neighborhood. We will share more details about this upcoming celebration in the weeks to come.
God bless and keep you today. Please join us for this significant moment in our parish's journey.
In Christ's love,
Fr. Peter
