From the Organist & Choirmaster
As our chorister program takes its roots, I am excited to announce that Emmeline Glenn, our senior chorister has passed her first two levels of chorister exams! The first level exam through The Royal School of Church Music’s Voice for Life curriculum works through the basics of singing, from healthy singing, music theory, and certain observations of the liturgy. Emmeline has sung with the parish choir since 2022 and has grown so much as a choral singer. Emmeline traveled with the parish choir during our first choral residency in London last June as a member of the choir, when the chorister program started in April I knew she would excel quickly though the first levels, but still they proved helpful in helping her glean a deeper knowledge of singing and music theory. She will be awarded her light blue ribbon and medal as well as receive a certificate detailing her passing of the white and light blue levels of the curriculum. Please make plans to attend the 10:30 am Mass on Sunday May 18th where we will present Emmeline with her certificates, ribbon and medal!
