Candlemas

Candlemas: The Feast of the Presentation
On Sunday, February 2, we gather to celebrate the Feast of the Presentation of Our Lord, known also as Candlemas, or the Feast of the Purification of the Blessed Virgin Mary. This festival in the Church's calendar year commemorates the infant Jesus brought to the Jerusalem Temple, where he is recognized as the light to the nations by the prophets Saints Simeon and Anna. Historically, Candlemas has been a day to bless candles, symbolizing Christ as the light of the world. Please join us and bring any candles you'd like blessed!
