War is Unholy

Faith must never be used to justify violence.  No holy tradition calls for us to normalize war, abandon the poor or to sanctify destruction.

A nation willing to spend $1 billion a day on destruction while people struggle for healthcare, education, food, housing, and care is revealing its priorities.

We are calling clergy, moral advocates and community partners to stand for life, truth, justice and the common good as we gather at the Federal Building in Montgomery at 11 am on Monday, March 30th to stand again this unholy war as Christians beginning of Holy Week.  We are showing up at our senators' offices because public policy must serve people, not sacrifice them.  Human life matters.  The common good matters.  Silence in the face of preventable suffering is not an option.

We ask clergy/faith leaders to wear your vestments and/or the stoles of your faith, prayer shawl, kippah, kufi, etc., as a visible sign of moral witness.

All faiths, no faith, one moral witness.
