Explore Your Faith This Year: Education for Ministry (EfM) Wide Angle
This year, Saint Andrew's is offering "EfM Wide Angle," a one-year theological study program of the University of the South for laypeople ready to go deeper. At the heart of EfM is theological reflection, a practice that draws on culture, tradition, and personal belief to explore what is whole and what is broken within a given theme, weaving insight into prayer and action. It’s where real life meets faith.

All are welcome!
What is Education for Ministry (EfM)?
Education for Ministry is entering a new chapter with two pathways for formation: EfM: Classic and EfM: Wide Angle. The former is a long-standing four-year program that helps participants study the Hebrew Scriptures, the New Testament, church history, and theology in the context of prayer, worship, theological reflection, and life in community.
EfM: Wide Angle is designed as a one-year program for those who want an authentic EfM seminar experience without making a four-year commitment at the outset and to alumna. It can be taken by those who have already taken EfM. It offers a broader introduction to the Bible, Christian tradition, and vocational discernment, with a lighter workload and a mix of readings and other learning resources.
Both the Classic and Wide Angle programs are built around small seminar groups led by trained mentors. EfM continues to offer a rich way for lay people to deepen faith, practice theological reflection, and discern their ministry in daily life.
