Welcome! 

It is a gift to welcome Mary Ann McCarty as an intern in ministry with us for the coming months. Mary Ann is currently discerning a call to Holy Orders in our diocese and serves on staff at the Cathedral Church of the Advent as Director of Youth Ministry. I hope you will join me in giving her a warm Saint Andrew’s welcome.

Mary Ann is a Mississippi native who has called Birmingham home for the last 4 years. She currently works as the Director of Youth Ministry at Cathedral Church of the Advent where she has begun discernment for Holy Orders in the Episcopal Church. She is passionate about the church being a welcoming community where people encounter the love of God and follow Jesus together in the freedom of Christ. Mary Ann loves a good chat over a meal or cup of coffee, deep relationships, good books, live music, and being outdoors.
