Ash Wednesday & the Beginning of Lent

Lent begins this week on February 18 with our solemn observance of Ash Wednesday, with services offered at 8:00am, 12:15pm, and 6:30pm. Each will include the imposition of ashes with the familiar words, “Remember that you are dust, and to dust you shall return.”

Lent is our school of repentance and self-giving. Through prayer, fasting, and almsgiving, we learn again who we are, whose we are, and where our journey leads: to Easter joy, and to life made whole in God.
