All Saints’ Sunday joyfully remembers before God the saints of every age, whose lives reflect the light of Christ, bound together with God’s people across time. We honor both the well-beloved saints of history, as well as those whose names are known to God alone. We encounter saints in the everyday moments of life, and we give thanks for their witness — in our workplaces, at the grocery store, in our neighborhoods, churches, and schools. In each, the presence of Christ shines forth, reminding us that sainthood is born in the faithfulness of ordinary lives.
The Parish Choir will offer the following music for the service:
Voluntary: ‘No. III Aria’ from “The Six pieces for Organ," Herbert Howells
Introit: “The souls of the righteous," Herbert Murrill
Psalm: Anglican Chant by Charles Fredrick South
Offertory Anthem: “O thou the central Orb," Charles Wood
Communion Motet: “Ave verum corpus," William Byrd
Voluntary: "Prelude, Fugue, and Chaccone (BuxWV 137)," Deiterich Buxtehude
Hymns: “For all the saints, who from their labors rest” (Sine Nomine), "Who are these like stars appearing” (Zeuch Mich, zeuch mich), “Alleluia! sing to Jesus” (Hyfrydol), “Come, risen Lord, and deign to be our guest” (Sursum corda), “The Church’s one foundation" (Aruellia)
