'Tis the Season!
Advent & Christmas 2025
The season of Advent and Christmastide are fast upon us! The First Sunday of Advent is November 30, when we will sing the Great Litany in procession as we begin the Christian Year anew, anticipating the Nativity of the Christ child with expectant hearts.
Advent is the great season of preparation, that a time to look forward to the coming of Emmanuel, God with us, to proclaim his coming ministry in the line of the prophets of Israel, and, with John the Baptist, to watch for the fulfillment of God’s promises. It is the beginning, the foundation upon which the whole Christian year is built.
Sundays in Advent:
Advent I – November 30
Advent II – December 7
Advent III (Gaudete Sunday) – December 14
Advent IV – December 21
Also, all are warmly invited to the Greening of the Church on the evening of Saturday, December 20. There will be no shortage of sugar cookies and hot cocoa!
The Eve of the Nativity of Our Lord: Christmas Eve – Wednesday, December 24
3:30 p.m. – Holy Eucharist, Rite II, with Procession and Stations of the Nativity
10:00 p.m. – Prelude of Lessons & Carols
