Parish Choir Retreat

The Parish Choir begins our annual choir retreat this Friday! As you have already noticed, during the summer the full choir takes a well-deserved break, and the lay clerks lead the singing during Sunday Masses. The choir retreat is a sign that we are getting close to having a full choir loft again! My favorite thing about my job is working with the choir, and it has been amazing to see how much the choir has grown since my arrival in 2022. We’ve grown from a group of five volunteer choristers to a group of eleven choristers including the addition of four paid lay clerks. Please keep the parish choir in your prayers this weekend as we begin to learn new and exciting repertoire that will be beautiful additions to the music we hear on Sundays, offerings of Choral Evensong, and special Feast Days.
