From the Organist & Choirmaster

At Saint Andrew’s, music is a central part of our identity. It enriches our worship, inspires our faith, and forms a vital part of our witness to the broader community. The music we offer is the result of careful preparation, spiritual intention, and generous support. Our music ministry fund makes all of this possible It supports:

  • Lay Clerks who provide musical leadership and consistency. Each receives about $500 per month from September to May, or $4,500 annually.

  • Instrumentalists, including brass for the Easter Vigil and strings for concerts and special liturgies, who cost about $2,000 per engagement

  • Choir needs including music purchases, vestment keep, and rehearsal materials.

  • UK choir residencies which offer our singers life changing opportunities to sing in English cathedrals and churches. These residencies cost about $30,000 and provide extraordinary musical and spiritual formation.

This ministry is an investment in beauty, tradition, and the spiritual life of our parish. To give use the link at the bottom of this article, or write a check to “Saint Andrew’s Episcopal Church,” with “Music Activities” in the memo line.

Thank you for helping us continue this sacred and joyful work
