Alabama Arise

Mark your calendar for the 2026 Alabama Arise Annual Meeting in Montgomery at the Equal Justice Initiative Legacy Annex on Saturday, September 26th, 2026. This will be both a virtual and in-person event. We will meet from 10:00am to 1:30pm (lunch will be provided at the in-person meeting). More details about registration are coming soon!

The Annual Meeting is your opportunity to help set Arise’s agenda, with input to ensure our legislative priorities align with self-identified community needs. To improve our process to be more reflective of community-identified needs, Arise's Board changed our issue proposal process last year. 

Members approved seven broad issue categories for 2026-2029 and then ranked specific legislation listed under each category. Members also approved a provisional issue. Legislation listed last year will be up for approval for 2027, along with any new proposals.
